Is it a "must" to use one of the two "specific" antifreeze/coolants in a 1988 190E Mercedes? - xerex on blogspot
Radiator, water pump and hoses, had high and low until recently in my 1988 MB 190E, without notice, and everything was replaced by a mechanic the next day. On the recommendation of my regular mechanic, I asked the mechanic who worked on this problem by using a coolant antifreeze special "DNR" or "Sherry Gold," and decided to do that, but if he had to "more" for the next day (I had not driven, but a short distance from yesterday that was "hot" finish on an evening after work was), I realized that I have been using a fuel "green" proline. I asked him why he used it and said it really makes no difference if you are the one he used, or more precisely one of the 2 CrazyMB and radiator. I was intimidated a little, and I went into my car to my "best" set of proline. The car was still warm, and some only after the ride. 1 miles. Today I called and said that the thermostat is sticking. What should I do?
